Osage Indian wedding hat circa 1850.
My favorite things to collect:  Hopi pots, vintage cigar boxes and antique early Victorian highly decorated top hats.  The Omaha wedding hat to the left is pre-civil war.
Napoleon's heavy cavalry Cuirassier  helmet.  Circa 1815.  Comes with a righteous pony tail, red feather plume and horse hair plume.   Going to battle in high fashion!

A work in progress.   I have an amazing antique frame for this piece!

My taxidermy peacock's name is "Prince".  I love Chinese lanterns and small colorful objects.  Germantown Navajo rugs, Turkish carpets, Indian sari and Suzani fabric are great to drape under objects and in the background.
savvy southern style
The geisha vase is something I enjoy painting in different settings.   All you need is a flower arrangement from the garden.

You will find my studio cluttered with props for still life paintings.

I picked these flowers from my garden.

Peacock painting I painted with a very ornate frame.
My favorite colors can all be found in the peacock!  When I am painting  I use  Viridian, Cerulean and Old Holland Magenta! Somehow it feels very indulgent.
