Laguna Garden Club Annual Tour

The walking tour took place near Bluebird Park, which is where the Mermaid House is located.  Woods Cove is one of the first neighborhoods settled and is still filled with quaint beach cottages, mature trees and small scale newer homes.  Our first stop was the Aloha house.
Some of the gardens meandered and were decadent with their space and rolling lawns.

Here are more Bluebird Canyon stunning views.
I like a combination of wild and controlled planting in the garden.

  1. The gardens are spectacular.

I am surprised that everything is so lush despite the drought. I wonder what their secret is because I would love to have my garden look half as lovely.

  2. The weather is pretty mild near the ocean. But those were some green lush lawns. Mine is getting brown. I plan on watering my fruit trees. It's hard to understand the logic of residential water conservation when there are no building moratoriums in Orange County. I think some residents don't take it seriously.

  3. This garden tour is fantastic, large properties and lush gardens. Such a nice touch having painters in the gardens too.
Thank you for linking to Mosaic Monday Rachel.

  5. What a beautiful place to wander. No wonder painters are drawn there to practise their art outdoors.
